This is the coolest bridge and the coolest bar I’ve ever seen! Here I present you Aiola Island, located right in the center of the Mur river in Graz, Austria.
It was built in 2003, and immediately developed itself as a popular attraction. The ‘island’ was created by the New York artist Vito Acconci.
It has a sunbathing area, a trendy bar and a coffee house, plus it allows you to cross the Mur river from one shore to another.

Absolutely beautiful. It looks a bit odd in contrast to the mountains & forest around it, but very unique & pretty!

Very aesthetically pleasing and seems to be “Modernly Exquiste”.

Looks like a big round lego piece with a bit of plastic wrap wrapped carelessly around it. I don’t get it.

I’ve been there and it’s certainly beautiful, but what you can’t see is that the other bridge in this photo leads to an even more impressive structure right nextdoor called “The Friendly Alien”.
There are some pics here:

What the blob is this thing!?!? People see things they think are “modern” feel like they have to like them. First of all- not modern. Second of all, bridges are some of the greatest feats of architecture, this thing is …. a snailshell!?!?
good God I need my registration quicker…
